The micro-climate of this region is unique in fact, for growing Petite Sirah, the Suisun Valley Appellation is rated as the oldest and best in the State of California by the UC Davis University. The Suisan Valley AVA received its designation in 1982, just after Falcon Crest began its nine-year “wine country” run. On the road less travelled, taking you through pastoral landscapes, is the Suisan Valley (nicknamed Napa’s Little Sister Sue), one of the most prolific areas in the state for growing Zinfandel and Petite Sirah. Vezer Family Vineyard is about 12 miles from historic downtown Napa, yet is a world away. Vezer Family Vineyard couldn’t be more pleased to announce that Lorenzo Lamas has joined the Vezer Family Vineyard “family,” serving as President of Wine Marketing and Business Development. Following a career in television, big screen and stage, spanning almost 40 years, Lamas now returns to wine country for his next starring role, but this one is not fictional.
During these years Lamas’ personal love of Northern California wine country firmly took root. During this popular 1980s television series, Lamas played the part of Lance Cumson, grandson of Angela Channing (Jane Wyman), the iron-fisted matriarch of Falcon Crest Vineyards a winery in the fictional “Tuscany Valley” region of Napa Valley.
Twenty-eight years following the final episode of the long-running wine country television series, Falcon Crest, Lorenzo Lamas has returned to his roots.
